Second day at EXPO (Saturday)
On Saturday, it was my second day spent at the world EXPO in Shanghai. To explain what EXPO is, and how it is, is more or less impossible. You just have to go there yourself in order to understand the size/range of the exhibition and what it´s really is all about. I can at least say that every country has its own pavilion where they represent their country in the way they want. The buildings are huge and amazing. On the pictures, you can just see how big the Swedish pavilion is….and than image every known country is more or less represented at EXPO. So, expo is like a small city built for this purpose. Here you have some Pics from the Swedish pavilion. Most countries have lines up to 2 hours in order to get in there. If you bring your passport you are a VIP guest at the Pavilion for your own country. Today, we tried to get into Norwegian, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The best part is that I worked out. It was only stop for us when we came to Germany. It didn’t help that I took charge of the situation and talked German. The answer was only “the Swedish people don’t let the German people in, so we don’t let you in”……ok, I buy that, just too bad for us because I believe German might be awesome to see.
